A Little Christmas Deco

My village.
I'm the one in the horse drawn sleigh. I'm the girl. Squint and you'll see me. Yes, that's George Clooney's arms wrapped around me. Jealous? Good.

Mantle and a little bling.

Mantle Angels singing heavenly songs.  I like these visitors better than the depressed dust bunnies and suicidal crickets that also visit.

A colony of Santas on a bookshelf...except not my dad nor my siblings and I. My favorites are the Cowboy Santa--far right and the lazy Santa--far left. The big Santa in between the photos has been around since my kiddos were wee ones. He's wax with a wick in his head. But, I don't hold that against him. Gee, they're old. My kids.

I affectionately call this my Tacky Tree. He is made of flimsy paper stuff that when you take out the center rod folds into a circle to be stored in his tacky box.

He makes me laugh and feel tacky.

This is a wooden tree with jingle bells. I think I like trees, tacky or not.

And this is my for reals tree. Only not real. The styrofoam cups on the tree? Well they were homemade by my old kids.

Sharing a few of my decorations with you on this Wednesday before Christmas Day.

What is your favorite trinket, bling, or decoration?

Good Morning!
I LOVE the jingle bell tree; very vintage looking!
It is tradition for my husband and eleven year old son to go get the Christmas tree and every year I shout out my desire to have a 'Charlie Brown' Christmas tree...they don't listen so although it doesn't follow your question my hope is one year I will have my Charlie Brown Tree and it will be my favorite of all...it reinforces my love for the underdog since I do teach children with special needs...
lovely post to begin my morning!

I love your sense of humor and your decorations, especially your "tacky tree!"

My only decorations this year are 3 Christmas cards I received and window candles.

A blessed holiday to you and yours!

The beauty of Christmas is not just pulling out the decorations but also the memories that are attached.

I'm liking your bling mantle, white makes such a pretty color in Christmas decorations. There's something so elegant about it.

Merry Christmas, Teresa, with best wishes for your new job and amazing writing in 2011!

Your decorations are so cute! I love all the Santas. I have a Santa collection! My mom would get me one every year for Christmas, but I had to tell her to stop temporarily when I moved out because my apartment has limited space. Some day when I have a house I'll be able to start up my collection again!

My favorite ornament is one my aunt got me when I was 11: It's a zebra painting her stripes red to get ready for Christmas!

Many blessings to you and your family this Christmas and in the new year!!!

Love your decorations! George Clooney- woo hoo!
You obviously have fun decorating!
I have a couple ornaments that have sentimental value - and have fallen apart or broken over the years.

LOVE LOVE LOVE your tacky tree--I am guessing it is the circular nature that makes it look like a Dr. Seuss tree (which is the highest compliment)--also loved the view of your other decorations!

How wonderfully festive! We decorate a little, but for the past many years we are always gone in the weeks around Christmas so the home place is rather quiet. I always think more of the decorations at my mothers house. I especially like a Christmas jester ornament that she keeps on a tree in her family room. The tree stays up year round.

Great trees! I love your tacky tree, too. :) My favorites are usually the old, family ornaments from my husband's family and mine.
