The Rumbling of Ramblings

What’s up? I’ve been out and about for awhile. I’ve kept up with you all, sometimes commenting…sometimes not, as time permitted.

I thought I’d check in and say hello and tell you there were good excuses reasons why I’ve been gone.

(Loving spring flowers.)

Here we go:

New Job: School Based Social Worker

I’ve been learning my new job. I like it—most days. The learning curve has been uncomfortable at times, but I really like the job. I wish I could tell you the details, but if I did, I’d have to….well you know.

Birthday

I had another birthday and…I FINALLY get it…I’M NOT 29 ANYMORE. Enough said. My dad wrote on his blog here about my fourth birthday present, a little puppy—Bluto. He was a joy.

Classes

I taught an adult class for parents, on spreadsheets, through a grant two evenings a week for two weeks. Preparation is what takes so much time. It’s over and I’m glad. Remind me next time to say NO. Ok?

Internet

My wireless is F.I.N.A.L.L.Y. up and going. I couldn’t make it work. I tried. So I finally told Techman (past coworker) that I needed his help. He said he would help me, but to try it one more time. I told him I had tried four times already and clearly I couldn’t do it. I mean, I really wanted to do it myself. The fifth time was the charm because it’s now working. Yay me!

Mowing Grass

The grass is growing and well…I’ve been mowing my yard. Yikes. I hear the groans of grass growth as I write this.

Sewing

I made this little frock for my sweet granddaughter. I love sewing. But, there just isn't enough time in one day to do all the things I love. Speaking of things I love...

Writing

And of course, I’m writing—Shorts. I’m putting the finishing touches on two and working on a new one.

Just thought I'd check in and say hello.  How are you?

You have been on the quiet side my dear...glad all is well and just life is getting in the way!
I think your job is difficult...I know the social worker at our school has her work cut out for her; it's heartbreaking!
take good care and can't wait to hear more!

Hi Teresa .. welcome back - or when we see you .. glad all is ok ..

I would think your job is very varied and incredibly challenging on the mind! Good for you .. and delighted you're enjoying the challenge and the work.

Mowing the yard .. I love doing that .. well I did!! The dress is so pretty - beautiful primrose colour .. and I love the contrasting bow .. your granddaughter will be chuffed as anything wearing her special dress ..

So busy be - look after yourself and glad all is well .. cheers Hilary
Then I forgot the 21st again .. how many times is that now? Hope you and the family had the most glorious time .. get togethers are always fun .. and your puppy must have been a real treat for you ... Bluto - he looks pretty pleased with himself .. 'landed me one good family and loving girl to look after me, while I get them to take me out and about - exploring the Ruralhood' ..

Happy Birthday ....
Mason, Thanks! Little Bluto was anything but little. Can you tell that my favorite cartoon at four was Popeye?

Tracy, The job is difficult at times, but is very worthwhile. I only wish I could do more for the students. Oh, and I've been praying...even more. :)

Laura, Thank You! I made many dresses for my daughter who is now the age I profess to be--29. It was time to make another!

Hilary, Thank you on the B-day wish. We do have family celebrations for birthdays, just another reason to get together.
