Good?

ME
(Walking toward a high school student on the sidewalk.)
Hi, how are you?

STUDENT
Good. How are you?

ME
Good.

STUDENT
(Walks on by)

Good. Good.

What I gleaned from this conversation is that we were both doing fine. Do I still have it or what…you know speaking “their” language?  Right?
Good. Good, good.

Hi Teresa .. I think 'Good' is sufficient .. if you interacted more - they'd be 'shocked' .. it's after hours ... Wonderful post - that's about the conversation we get with kids isn't it .. still better than nothing or a grunt!! Cheers Hilary
I've got a teenager and I'm still not speaking their language! Ha! I think you did a good job.

Thanks for stopping by my place. I'm very glad you did.

At least you didn't throw a groovy in there... that might have blown the whole language thing.
