Grateful Hearts

Our egos may tell us that we are an island and that we get through life on our own. Our egos may be lying because we are not an island. We have people who love and support us, who cheer us on to the finish and who hold us accountable.

Did you know that we often take those people for granted? As we celebrate Thanksgiving in America this week and as we count our blessings, we need to show our grateful hearts by telling those people we love and admire how thankful we are--for them.

Psalm 100

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.

Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.

Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100: 1-5 (NIV)

I need to start with my wife.
Our church band does a song version of that Psalm.

That is such a wonderful Psalm and so uplifting. What you say here is a thing we should take to heart. Can you imagine a world where everyone thought like this?
