On May 22, 2011, Joplin Missouri was hit hard by tornadoes.  When disasters happen life is usually lost and unquestionably lives are altered. Heart breaking.
The world talked about it. We talked about it too, here.
Joplin is recovering.
In October 2011, Extreme Makeover Home Edition (EMHE) visited Joplin and built homes for some of those who lost their homes. This Friday EMHE (ABC) will present their final show—their series finale. Their last show will be about their visit to Joplin.
There were seven families that were helped through the EMHE show. You can read here a blurb about them.
I’m going to watch.

I'll watch for it too. EMHE must have seemed like angels in those people's lives.
That's really wonderful! I'll try to remember to tune in...so good to hear about this!
It was a generous and upliftin' gesture of Extreme Makeover.

I'm watchin'!!!

Thanks for the notification. I'll be sure to tune in!
Hi Teresa .. we get reminders over here too - of the dreadful weather and shocking conditions that hit. Any disaster is terrible and help is always needed ...

Sounds like the weather isn't being too kind now ..

Nature can be rough - and human nature needs to heal and be loving at these times ..

Having survived through 3 tornadoes as a child, I no firsthand the havoc they can reek and not just financial. Mom and Dad's insurance company refused to pay as it was an act of God. He lost his shop and all the tools. We also lost parts off the roof of our home. Fortunately we were in the basement the entire time and no one was hurt.
