Wednesday Inspired

I have nothing to say except this. Because I want to inspire you in whatever you are doing right now, right this moment, I'm posting photos of some of the projects I've been working on that are non-writing.  I don't want you to think I'm a slacker.
Remember the cabinets I've been painting on?  I'm still working on them.

Psychologically, painting the innards of my cabinets has been a calming experience. Not really.  I spilt the paint once. And I dropped the roller once. It hit the microwave then the counter then the floor. I had a little bit of cleaning up to do.

My arms hurt from the painting, but I'm ok--don't worry.
I'm not painting them white--no, no, I'm using an off white-beige of sorts. I love tone on tone.

Yes, there are different colors of white. Don't argue with me, I'll win.

This is a little black mirror I found for five bucks. I liked it painted black, but I like it better --painted white.  Surprised? I thought so.

Here it is propped against a vase filled with my collection of knobs.

Then there's the shelves I built for each side of my fireplace. (I may have told you this already.) I'm not sure why I can't take a picture without it being tilted.

Finally, and it's not finished yet...

is a little table, with a drawer, for my daughter. I found it at a flea market. I had to fill in the places that needed wood filler and I had to reglue it. I will sand the top and finish it. My daughter and I (mostly I) talked about painting it an off white. She said no.

I don't understand people who disagree with my bringing white painted things into their homes.

There you have it, my projects. Wednesday is a day to be inspired. May whatever you are working on be inspired and blessed.

White's pretty, I usually use it as an accent color. I like how painting can breathe fresh new life into a space, whether it's on a wall or an object.
I adore doin' off white, Navajo white, creams a beige's...it suites my French Country (heavy on the country...surprise!!!) home.

God bless ya and have a marvelous time paintin' up a storm!!! :o)

I will agree that there are many shades of white...I didn't realize that until I started looking at paint samples! Good job on your projects!
Sorry about the dropped paint roller! And yes, after visiting my local hardware store I discovered there are about fifty varieties of white. Who knew?

I shy away from white. I have four sons living here with me. However, we have a white cat. His fur is the accent color.
Hi Teresa - I wonder if you have one leg shorter than the other - hence your camera tilt .. or perhaps the house is slopey? Rather like the leaning tower? Or perhaps the roller hit your eye first before flapping around the rest of your house .. ? Please don't take this out on me .. it's Friday and I'd love a good weekend ..?!

It looks really homely .. and your cupboards look so fresh .. while the little mirror = big difference ..

Now I must set to and clear my desk of paperwork .. be brave Hilary be brave .. Enjoy your weekend with all its cleanliness .. cheers Hilary

I wish I had even a small list of such wonderful accomplishments.

Mine are more like: washed clothes, washed dishes, fed the dogs, washed clothes...etc!
Fun projects you're working on. There are many shades of white; just refer anyone who argues to the paint store!
