Halloween Hop 2012

Jeremy Bates is hosting Halloween Bloghop 2012.
What’s my costume will be this year? The scariest one yet—myself!
My favorite scary movie? My favorite scary movie is a psychological thriller: Hide and Seek. If you haven’t seen this one, you must. It’s creepy. It’s puts you on the edge of your seat and your mind. Warning: There are a (few) violent scenes including a cat death scene. I don’t like (even fake) animal murders in movies, but I promise it’s relevant to the story. No cat died in the making of this movie.
Hide and Seek
The movie is about a man (psychologist) and his daughter who have suffered the suicide of wife/mother. The little girl has to be hospitalized for odd behaviors. They move to a remote area to start over but life gets even more complicated as the little girl is haunted and influenced by Charlie. Who is Charlie? Is he real or imaginary? One thing is for sure, he’s a murderer?
“Come out, come out wherever you are.”

If you haven't read it yet, read my Halloween tale (last post), The Hayride.

Also at The Ruralhood, I am 18 for Cally Jackson's book launch for The Big Smoke

I loved Hide and Seek. It was cleverly done. Love movies like that.

I've seen this movie and you're right, it is creepy. It's been a while since I have seen this so a re-watch might be in order for this weekend.

Thanks for stopping by and for your entry.

Cheers.

Is Hide and Seek the one with Robert DeNiro and Dakota Fanning? If it's the one I'm thinking of, I agree. It's a creepy good one!

Visiting from the Halloween Hop! :D

I haven't seen that movie because I know it would scare me to pieces.

My favorite Halloween movie is The Nightmare before Christmas. I start getting exciting for Christmas already in October, but I don't want to miss out on the spookiness of Halloween! So that movie is perfect to watch at this time of year. :)

I also like the movie version of Roald Dahl's The Witches. It scared me when I was a kid but I loved it! (The book is much better, of course. I just re-read it the other day, actually!)

That movie sounds familiar but I can't remember it exactly. Scariest movie I saw over the last decade was Orphan. I couldn't sleep for a week.

I'll have to tell my family about Hide and Seek! They'd watch it, but this ole scaredy cat will be off in another room with her nose in a book while they do. I don't want nightmares that wake me up in a panic! :)
