Monday's This and That

It’s Monday again and as I write this I am struggling with the Sunday night (before you go back to work) blues. As you read this, I’ll either be sleeping, getting ready for work, OR at work. And, I’ll be feeling fine because I love that job of mine.
Friday evening, I visited with my folks.  The visit reminded me how blessed I am to have parents such as these. I’ve said this before and it needs repeating, I’m blessed, in general ,with family .
When you visit your parents, you learn good things about yourself – hopefully. I do – anyway.
Did you notice, I’ve changed my blog a little? See that column on the right à I have plans for that. You’ll see.
March 18 is not only my B-day where I will be 29 yet again, but Alex Cavanaugh (who is working on his last Casa book) is reviving a blogfest that he hosted a couple of years ago called Top Ten Movie Countdown Blogfest. Look in my sidebar for a glimpse of the badge and if you would like to sign up and participate in this very easy (Alex said it, I didn’t) blogfest and steal the badge click HERE.  The blurb:
“Top Ten Movie Countdown Blogfest
March 18, 2013
List your top ten favorite movies!”
Speaking of blogfests, the Blogging from A-Z April Challenge sign-up is now open. The concept is that you use the letter of the day A-Z and write a post corresponding with the letter. There will be 26 posts – not on Sundays.  That's the gist of it, but there's more to it.
If you want to read more about it or join and grab the badge click HERE. This is a great challenge especially if you like to write and/or visit other blogs.
I’m entered and will be shacking up at The Ruralhood this year for my A-Z blogging challenge.
I’ll post later what my scheme theme is.
Are you hopping with any of the bloghops? Did you notice the change in JW? Am I the only one that gets the Sunday night blues?

Hi Teresa .. I now have noted the change up in the blog - I must do mine .. so I'll watch and see how you go with yours ... and you're sleeping still: lucky thing! It's trying to snow here .. not meant to - but a flake or two was a possibility ...

So pleased you'll be posting at the Ruralhood for the A - Z ... I'll be along too ...

The other blog hops I'm missing out on for now ... but enjoy the few I enter .. happy week ahead ... cheers Hilary
Hi, Hilary, I love hearing what the weather is over there. It helps me feel more connected to you.

The new blog layout looks good and dark print on light background always works best for me.

I used to kind of get Sunday blues when I was in school, but most of my working years have not had traditional M-F work hours so it didn't matter. Now that I'm not working it doesn't matter either.

I like the new layout!
Thanks for mentioning my blogfest. Will have to do something in honor of your birthday as well.
I like the blog changes! Very nice.

And I'm glad you're enjoying your job!

I used to get the Sunday Night blues really bad. Not so much any more. It's more that I feel sort of let down because I never accomplish everything I hoped I would. More and more I feel like there aren't enough hours in the day or during the weekends. This past weekend, I cleaned the fridge but not the bathtub. Darn.

I woke up early this morning with so many projects on my mind: the A to Z Challenge, my devotional, the children's book series that I started 7 years ago, an idea for a short film, my photography, the website I developed, blah, blah, blah. There's just too much to do and too little time. Things like this do help me appreciate life, though. I'm looking forward to your theme for the challenge this year. I loved last year's!

I remember those Sunday night blues. I got them even after I quit work because I got them when my kids were still young and they had to go to work (school) the next day. By Monday morning all was well but I could never shake those feelings until they moved into their own homes.

I might have to join in the movie blogfest, if I remember. And the A-Z one I am looking forward to, it will be my first time doing it.
Happy, early Birthday!

I'm signed up for AtoZ, so I'll be around all of April--God willing and the creek don't rise.

Will have to come and see what plans you have for the new column!
