Sunday Reflection: The Example

Have you ever had something stay in your mind for days, maybe weeks?  I call it a nag. A quote? A song lyric? Critical words?  A license plate? (That one is probably just me.)
For a couple of weeks, one Bible scripture has nudged me. First it came up as part of a daily reading. Then it popped up in my mind, periodically. After that, I heard reference to it in a song.

What verse?  This:
“Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.Ephesians 5:1-2 (NIV)

What kept repeating in my mind was, "Follow God's example..."
Living life based on a love principle is not easy. But acting on and reacting with love is the key to God's example. When life is lived with love in mind, there is change for the good.

My message in this is that everything I do needs to mirror the very essence of my God. And His essence is love.
I’m vowing to be a better mirror.

Blessings!
Teresa

It's not always easy, but that's exactly what He's called us to do. As His children, we are a reflection of Him.

Such an inspiring post and oh, so true. We are His reflections and as of late, we (people in general) don't seem to be doing a very good job of showing love to one another. Wishing you a wonderful Sunday and a great week to come, my friend.

Unconditional love -- that's something we all need to work on.
