Sunday Reflection: The Sounds of Heaven

As a Christian, there is nothing sweeter than the sounds of heaven to our soul. Listening for the sounds of heaven means, first, finding God through his word (Holy Bible), talking to him (prayer), then listening to the Holy Spirit within.

“My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.” Proverbs 2:1-5 (NIV)
When someone receives God (believes in him) through His Son Jesus, heaven bursts out in song.

“Then Jesus told them this parable:  “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.Luke 15: 3-7 (NIV)

The sounds of heaven begin in our (own) souls, shared—can resonate to a world who needs love.
