Last Week

Profound questions intruded my brain last week. Are you ready?
  • Does Sonic omit the real cherry at the bottom of their small size cherry coke? Or is it always just mine?
  • Does anyone, anymore, think before they react or is this a outdate skill?
  • Do I look like I was born yesterday? (Be kind.)
  • Are people really that stupid or are they just selfish?
  • Here's a really good one. Why is there hate? And what is the benefit of hating someone? Wait! I know the answer to that one.
I also had a favorite word from last week: Telltale. I used it relentlessly, in most conversations.

So, Millie and I are working through something bad that happened last week with a groomer. I wrote about it, on JW, but then decided I'm not ready to do that, yet--post it here.

Still working through it in my mind.

Have a great week and trust NO ONE with your pet. Okay that's not fair, but that's how I feel. I'll post about it later.

My (often rude) father always told us that we could be stupid OR stupid looking. Sadly I think that many selfish people are also stupid (which seems like overkill). And they do seem to think that we were born yesterday.
I am sorry that you had problems with the groomer, and hope they can be resolved.
Hi Teresa - so sorry about Millie and the trouble that happened ... not easy to deal with: good luck to you both.

No idea about the Sonic ... re the think before I react ... I usually do (I believe I do!). Born yesterday ... no like me a few days ago! People don't think ... and don't consider others. Sadly - manners seem to have left many or were never absorbed as youngsters, or taught by their elders and parents ...

Relax and recover re Millie - sounds troublesome ... all the best Hilary

People are selfish and that makes them rude. There is a pervasive sense of entitlement these days. I'm sorry you had a bad experience w/ a groomer....did you say you did post it or didn't? Cause I don't remember reading it.

A rough week brought up these questions. I can't answer any of them, only you can.

I sincerely hope Millie is okay. If it was traumatic and bad, give me the name and address of where it happened. I will have a few hours to get there and have time to think A LOT before I react. This old lady likes to tell deserving people how the cow ate the cabbage.

This week will be better.

I think online interactions have spoiled our filters. It used to be there were social repercussions for bad behavior, but we've become separated from them. And I am not sure people are STUPID so much as life is easier if we shove things into a schematic we are already familiar with, so a lot of people ignore important pieces of evidence for how things are because they don't want to examine their own world view.

So there. I hope this week brings you happier questions.
Sorry you had a bad experience at the groomers.
People are sadly that selfish. Everyone lives in their own little world.
TRUST NO ONE is a good motto to live by in all areas dealing with the public sadly. HATE is like drinking poison, hoping the person who offended you dies.

People are excessively selfish these days which prompts them to do many stupid things. Like Alex, I am grieved that you and Millie had a bad time with that groomer. :-(

Hope all is getting better with Millie, sad you can't even trust dog groomers. Sometimes I think people are getting more selfish and then something happens on a blog and I see there are still some very wonderful people out there. Hope you have a great week, my friend.

I'll have to buy some Sonic and do research. I'll get back to you about the missing cherry issue.
Thinking is no long necessary. Just ask Siri for what you need. And you don't have to react because your device doesn't give a whip-dit if you're there or not.

Pet care. Hmmm. This does not sound good. Hope your baby is okay.

Profound questions. I never order a small slushie at Sonic, so I wouldn't know.

I think there's so much hate in the world because we let fear get a hold of us. It's so much easier to live life purely from the ego, and it takes more effort to get beyond that.

And no, you don't look like you were born yesterday. You are beautiful.

Heeehehehe! You made my day sweetie!

This old fashioned gal blames many of society's problems on the lack of parenting skills. 'Nuff said...won't got there...wouldn't be prudent!

Hope you've had yourself one wonderfully blessed and beautiful summer. Ours lacked a little. Crops and cattle washed away. What a story in the end though. I'll share sometime. God is good!!! :o)

I haven't had a Sonic Diet Cherry Coke in a while, but I'm going to watch for that cherry the next time. Although they may put it in the diet version anyway because they feel sorry for us!
