Sunday Reflection: Comforted

Lately, life has been a whirlwind of turmoil and I’ve needed some consoling. My comfort often comes from delving into the word of God and praying for guidance, but sometimes God sends us other people to comfort us and to comfort. In the past few months, I’ve talked to many who feel upset, betrayed, and angered.

Often our own experiences with grief and injustice can help others. Letting God speak through our spirit, to the wounded, can be a blessing for them. In turn, we also receive a measure of comfort.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 (NIV)

Blessings,

Very true, no one can offer comfort and consolation like a person who has gone through it, experienced it. God bless you in your trials and lift you above the turmoil!

There's a lot happening around planet earth. Families hurt each other. Our government is a mess. The earth is getting ready to Crack and vomit. There is no place physically safe. Our only safety net is in Yeshua and His word.

Happy Mother's Day!

Yep, after having gone through the crap you sure know it all to well.
Compassion demands its bitter tuition, but to fail to have it because we have been bruised is to waste the painful experience, right? May The Father grant you strength to take the next step and the Light to see where to place it. Roland

I hope that you are doing OK and that the turmoil ends for you soon.
I hope that the turmoil has eased and comfort becomes your norm.

Without knowing anything, your comfort will always be in the Lord! We have experienced much grieving this year and past years. Hope is in the Lord.
