What's happening?

I've been absent for a month, from my blogs. Anytime my schedule changes (working then vacation and back to work), it seems my blogs suffer. I need to figure that one out. I will be back Wednesday for the Insecure Writer's Support Group, so come back then for a real post.

What have I been up to? Lots. Here are four:

1. I went back to work after a hot, but nice work/school vacation.

2. Millie got super sick in August. Stopped eating and drinking. White blood count up. Had a fever. I am concluding (because we don't really know at this point) that it might have been an adverse reaction to a vaccine update. Very touch and go and she's only four. She seems okay now, except for one day when she wasn't. After a round of antibiotics, for the most part, she is back to eating and drinking. Also, bullying and bossing me.

3. I'm seeing my neurologist soon. We're still trying to figure out my muscle weakness.

4. Mowing is no longer fun for me for a few reasons, mainly it's difficult for me physically now and yet the grass still grows. Plus, this is the time of year that the spiders hang from the trees in their webs. Ugh. Nothing like a web complete with spider smacking you in the face.

Hope to see you Wednesday!

Sorry Millie was so sick.
Mowing is never fun. A riding lawn mower makes it a little better though.
Hi Teresa - it's good to see you back ... but I do hope they can help you with the muscle weakness ... as you know I'd come along happily to mow - but sadly even though I'm now on the same continent I can't come south - sorry!! Also I'm glad Millie is up and about again ... take care - cheers Hilary
Glad Milly is better. It is unsettling when our furry source of unconditional love becomes ill. They look at us, expecting us to make it all better with heartbreaking trust in their eyes. Mowing is never fun, but perhaps Alex has an idea with his riding lawnmover. That, or find someone trustworthy to do it for you for a reasonable fee. Like Hilary, I hope the physicians can help you with the muscle weakness. Pace yourself.
It is lovely to see a post from you. I am sad Millie was so unwell and glad she is better. I hope they find a reason and a solution for the muscle weakness. One of my brothers has been partially paralysed by a mystery malady so this part of your post strikes home.
We could have a happy time doing both ... mowing and the tea!! One day perhaps ... but good to see you around again ...

I hope your neurologist can discover the cause of your muscle weakness. As for grass, I mowed acres of it on the farm, was fine. Now, decades later, grass causes allergies.
Poor Millie.

I haven't mowed a lawn in nearly 50 years and I've never used a riding lawnmower. My father finally bought one after I left home and wasn't around to cut the grass. Now we have a guy who comes by every two weeks and mows it.

Be well.
