I don't have a post today on writing. Here are my excuses for not providing you with a Friday writing post:
  • I had to draw pictures with my granddaughter
  • I had to mow my acre
  • I am finishing a short story for a contest
  • I had to watch the new Criminal Minds and be too scared to sleep
  • And then I had to sleep
  • I had to talk to my daughter on the telephone
  • I had to take my granddaughter home (darn it)
  • I had to talk a minute with my son
  • I had to think of these excuses
I encourage you to keep writing and if you get stuck use this Creative Writing Prompt site to get you out of the funk or use it just for fun. Point to a number and get an idea. If you have children, give them a prompt and have them either draw or write a story. 

It's supposed to be in the seventies here this weekend and no rain on Saturday. Have a great weekend!

I'm in agreement that all on your list qualify for not stickin' your nose in your computer. Heck, there's a 'real' life to live! :o)

I tried to mow my acre yesterday but for some reason my big old lawn tractor wouldn't turn over and it was spittin' gasoline out of the exhaust. When I called Farm Boy to see what I could do he said it was probably toast and I'm done for the year. To which I replied, "Noooooooooooooo," 'cause I'm Nezzy and I like my grass even!

Sorry, got a little carried away. I'm as passionate about my yard as I am about cleanin'. :o)

Sometimes living life takes precedence over writing about it. Sounds like you had a wonderful day - thinking of excuses and all. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend as well.
