A Friday Prompt

I want to prompt you today to think creatively. If you want to participate, build on my writing prompt below and write the next sentence or two. Make it a love story, a poem, a mystery, a sci-fi, humor, or anything you want it to be.  Make it your own.

It seemed like yesterday that I was in that kindergarten program where I walked across the stage only once as the sun, but I really wanted to be one of the dancing daisies. My entire world changed that day when I looked up and saw….

Have a great weekend!

my mama sitting there in the audience in her big old pick hair rollers and her favorite blue house coat. Daddy eyes beamed as he sat beside mom. It wasn't often but sometimes he would.........

... when I looked up and saw the glimmer of the stage lights. And now, here I am, living the dream at my Broadway debut.
Carol, Nezzy, Mason, Joanne, Love, love, love these. They are just as unique as the talented women who wrote them.

Thanks for playing.

...a mouse scurry across the stage floor, and zip up my teacher's stocking into her pant leg. I decided that day that I would be a skirt wearing girl.

Thanks! That was fun!

...my dearly departed Grandpa sitting on the rafters above the stage, smiling down at me. With a wink and a thumb's up, I heard, Keep on shining, gal, make me proud! Then he spat
out his chaw of tobacco just like he always did.

Thanks for the fun!!

a bright and brilliant wormhole suck the lead daisies off into a parallel universe. At last! My chance to be the lead daisy!
Clarissa, Sometimes we just need that nudge to our destiny.

Gail, I hope I don't dream about your dear grandpa. That was pretty vivid.

Stephen, That's my kind of finish...sweet revenge...oh and the right part.

my mom, sober for the last time before her car accident.

(Sorry, I know it's a downer...but it's the first thing that came to my mind and is not far from the truth.)

The guys in the tech booth, and the shadow of someone behind the spotlight. That's when I knew I wanted to be one of the people who control the sound, lights, and shadows. That's where I belonged. I tossed off the sun and headed up the stairs to the light booth.
CM, It's not a downer but a great addition to my prompt. Love it.

Mary, How many times do we wish we could do that, throw off the sun and go to what we really want to do?
