Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Psalm 121 NIV
JW thoughts:
So fitting today that I was given this scripture to read. From an early age, I not only knew about the love of God, but I also knew of his help and care. This knowledge was given to me by my mother, grandmother and my church family and turned into my faith in Jesus. In the toughest of times, I know I'm never alone even if I feel alone in the moment. He watches over my life. The Psalm I read today is God's message to me reaffirming what I already know. "...the Lord watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore" (Psalm 121:8).
Whatever you are feeling today that might be causing soul turmoil, believe that you are forevermore watched over and cared for by God.
