This is not fun...

I'm not kidding, this is not fun.
8:00 a.m. February 1: Looking out from my deck.

Same time/day/place.

8:10 a.m. looking out the living room window to the whipping snow and winds. You can still see my bushes.


Today, February 2: A different view at the front of my house. Most of my bushes have disappeared.

This is a problem. I'm looking out my garage and there is 3 1/2 foot drifting up my driveway. I can't shovel this!

I've never ever ever had snow blow in my screened breezeway like this.



Today: My deck is under there somewhere. Oops, I left my water hose on the chainlink fence.

It's about 9 degrees.  It's cold

I hope it looks better where you are. I may not get out of here until Spring. And, I'm getting stir crazy and I'm NOT inspired NOR amused.

Not sure where you live. I talked to my sister in Illinois yesterday while the blizzard was raging outside her window. In Utah it's single digit cold (unusual for here) but not that much snow in the valleys. I don't mind the snow but I hate this kind of frigid cold when the house doesn't even get warm enough.

It was really cold in my house this morning--thermometer said 67.
I was freezing! I looked out the window and I didn't see any snow, but I know it was much colder out there than in my house--low 60s maybe?

Seriously, it reminds me of when my family used to live in northern Indiana. It would snow like that and they still made us go to school.

Good day to stay inside and write or read or watch a movie. Try to stay warm.

Oh my you poor thing! We have a foot of snow still from last week, but we only got ice on top of that last night. Still not fun, but not as bad. Be careful and stay safe and warm! The groundhog didn't see his shadow so that's supposed to mean an early spring. I'm hopeful, but I won't hold my breath lol.

I'm sorry to say, Teresa, but this is just a snow-flurry you are experiencing. In New England, the snow is up to the top of the deck rails, the icicles are hanging from the roof, to the ground :)

Even if a neighborhood kid came by to shovel, I don't think you would see or find him. That is some serious snow.

We got very lucky...rain, rain, rain, then ice then some snow and it is all gone, except for the much needed rain soaked into the ground. Bone cold but snow free.

I would be inspired to crawl under a warm quilt, read a good book or nap the day away.

Hi Teresa .. I love this - Joanne's comparisons .. a bit much when you're knee deep in it - and others are thigh deep .. snow of that amount is pretty but that's about it!

Bobcat coming up I feel .. hope as it's now the 3rd - you're feeling somewhat less tied down?! Cheers Hilary

I'll stop complaining about how gray and cold it is here - our moisture is of the liquid kind and allows at least freedom of movement. This is one of those times, I'm really grateful I moved away from snowy climes. Sending you warm thoughts.
