We are blessed in our family with our share of artists. My sister, who has many talents, created this (ignore the glare) wonderful sketch for me. Through the years, I’ve gained comfort not only from the picture, but from the Bible scripture attached, “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” John 14:2 (KIV)
Every day throughout our world there is heartache from people making horribly wrong decisions. Some of those decisions are huge and include violence to others and some {decisions} include harm to themselves. Their (and our) actions affect the people who commit them, but their actions also influences the world around them. They've caused sorrow, anger, and chaos.
Of course there is comfort in the world, but as Christians we have the ultimate comfort to look forward to. We are told in Revelations that God has prepared a place for you and me in his house where we will never again know pain or grief (Revelations 21:4).
He has been busy preparing a future home where we will experience only comfort and peace.
My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14: 1-5 (NIV)

It's always good to know we have a place to go at the end of our journey.

BTW, I agree with Judy. Your sister is very talented, but YOU are her sister. :) Hope you have a great week.
