Knocked Off Your Feet
There are many people in my community and the U.S. who have been knocked off their feet last week because of storms.
Two things I am certain of:
·
God is bigger than any problem that we lay at
his feet.
“I have told you these things,
so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take
heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NIV)
·
All trouble experienced, in our earthly life, is
used to perfect us for eternity with God.
“Therefore we do not lose heart.
Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by
day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory
that far outweighs them all. So we fix
our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is
temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NIV)
No experience is wasted. No tear forgotten. No pain is unnoticed.
But, we need to listen for the whisper of hope in the storm to get us through.
It's there.

God help us. He won't test us more than we can bear, although many would be questioning that...
