Sunday Reflection: Blessings

Have you identified your blessings? Look around you. They are right there in front of your face where they’ve always been. Don’t be guilty of criticizing what you have or wishing for something different. Instead, embrace what you’ve been given and be a participant in your own blessings.

One Sunday our pastor said, “Someone else was not given your blessings. They were given their own and you have yours.”  

If we think someone else has what we deserve, we become distracted from what is good in our own life.

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”’

This week, may you dwell in the middle of your blessings, drinking them in and giving thanks.
