Sunday Reflection on the Brokenhearted
I see the heartbreak, of those I
know, on Facebook, people who have lost their loves: a toddler son, an adult
son, a mother and others. All tragic. All a testament to the fragility of life.
Brokenhearted people are left behind
to deal with their grief.
“Your
most profound and intimate experiences of worship will likely be in your
darkest days – when your heart is broken, when you feel abandoned, when your
out of options, when the pain is great – and you turn to God alone.” ~ Rick Warren
Like everyone else, I don’t like
going through heartbreak. Like everyone else, I have. It is true for me that in
my “darkest days” of living, I am close to God. When I want my breath to stop, he breathes new life in me.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalms 147:3 (NIV)
Blessings on your day!
