Rainy Days

I will be back soon, blogging on a regular basis. Really! I hope.

Today, in Missouri, it’s raining cats and dogs. Millie won't go outside to do her business. I’m sure we need the rain, but you know about Rainy days and Mondays and how they always get me down. They really do.

Plus life in general is dragging me down:

*People who are seriously ill.
*People who choose to be in hate with you for their lifetime. What a waste of time and energy.
*Crazy people who show their crazy.
*Neglected and abused children.  I mean who hurts a child?
*Paris
*The state of America. Not the states of A, but the state. We are still a strong nation, but ugh, what are we doing?

I sound a bit down about it all, but I am super thankful for so many things. I’ve said this before, but when bad stuff sweeps me off my feet there is ALWAYS a tiny flame of hope, in the core of me, feeding tomorrow’s outlook.

It's there. So today, I'm praying for the above mentioned and fanning the flame of hope, hoping the rain doesn’t drown it out.

Hi Theresa ... sometimes things catch us out, or life happens - whichever: take your time .. we will be here and wish you well as you gently puff the little flame of hope forwards ... with thoughts - Hilary

Repeat after me: Millie is a dog. I am her leader. I am in charge.

Have a great day.

Life can be a downer some times indeed, plus really crazy people that need to be locked in the looney bin never help matters any lol

All we can do is pray for God's grace, mercy, and strength to stand and walk through all this fire. Yeshua is the glue in this universe. He sees and knows us all and even warned us certain things would happen before He comes back. In the meantime, eat some chocolate. It goes well with praying.

I'm with you on all of those drag down points. It all makes you wonder sometimes. The only thing different with me is that it's a bright sunny morning here in Los Angeles. Oh, for some rain--and not just a passing sprinkle.

Tossing It Out
As long as there is tomorrow, there is always hope.
What did Mark Twain say? "As long as there are fools, there is hope ... for a laugh anyway."

Sandra, my best friend, tells me the way to counter a bad day is to remember that 90% of the world would give their right arm to be having that bad day in America.

Our times are in the Father's Hand, and he will find a way for us to take the next step. The world which has turned its back on Him is on its own sadly.

Things in this country and the world are definitely bad. Sorry you've been so down. :( Hang in there!
Take as much time as you need. And be as gentle and kind to yourself as you are to others.

We have to believe in hope - otherwise it is completely overwhelming. Working with kids does that for me :)
I was glued to the TV during both Gulf wars and then 911. This time I purposely have avoided TV. It's easier. I can't do anything other than hold those effected in my heart and mind. If I watch TV I'll only become bitter and hateful, and then "they" have won.

I'm thinking of John Lennon's song, "Why not give peace a try."
