Death by ANTHROPOD

I am participating in the Blogging from A-Z Challenge again this year. What is this mysterious blogging challenge you ask? Arlee Bird from Tossing it Out came up with this fantastic idea where bloggers post using consecutive letters of the alphabet for 26 days in April. It grew in numbers, and Arlee now has many helpers. To view other participates of the A-Z Event click here.

Odd deaths happen, right? Itā€™s sort of like being at the right place at the right wrong time. My A-Z 2016 blogging journey takes us down the road of Death by Oddity. Come join me.

A = Death by ANTHROPOD

In 2012, a man from Florida participated in a cockroach eating contest. He won, well sort of. After consuming the winning amount of cockroaches, he died. Cause of death, "choking due to arthropod body parts". Eww! Think about that the next time you enter a contest or inhale a bug. Source

How much money would it take for you to enter a cockroach eating contest?

This reminds me of a TV program called 'A Thousand Ways To Die'...or something to that effect.
I'm terrified of cockroaches so that answers the question.
Interesting theme!

I don't think I'll enter such a contest. I had no idea people competed in such categories!

I am obviously richer than I knew. I don't think there is enough money in the world to make me enter.

I remember that story. Could not pay me to eat cockroaches. Nope. No way.

I'd enter for a million bucks. But I'd wouldn't eat any. You just said I had to enter lol

I like the way Pat thinks. Enter but don't eat. I'm pretty sure I could not eat a cockroach. What an interesting death. Thanks for sharing that one.

Some insects are perfectly edible (I've seen them for sale in markets in Asia) but clearly this contestant failed to chew his cockroach thoroughly!

Yuck! Chew the cockroach thoroughly, man (even more disturbing). Cool theme! Love the Easter post, sister.

What a fantastic theme for this month's challenge! I think that I would not enter such contest for money--but I HAVE eaten things I didn't want to eat out of politeness.

Wow, that is not a pleasant way to go at all!
