Death if but by ROSES

I am participating in the Blogging from A-Z Challenge again this year. What is this mysterious blogging challenge you ask? Arlee Bird from Tossing it Out came up with this fantastic idea where bloggers post using consecutive letters of the alphabet for 26 days in April. It grew in numbers, and Arlee now has many helpers. R= Death if but by ROSES

In 1979 a woman received eight red roses, at her job, from her husband, in honor of their anniversary. Thereafter, the woman "collapsed at her desk". The autopsy did not point to any funny business, but instead said that it was probably an allergic reaction. Newspaper clipping here.

Hmm. I’ll not comment on the fact that it’s (almost) always the husband or ex-husband who is the first to be suspected in a wife’s death. I won’t say that.
