God thinks about you! - A Sunday Reflection

Trick-or-treaters. Officially, I only had two this year and they were two of my four Grands. But the oldest, my eighteen year old, also dressed up for the fun of it and tagged along, not expecting candy. The second oldest, seventeen, did that last year but didn’t costume up this year. He rode along, though.

Their mom said she gave them the choice of going to a church trunk-treating thing first or going to my house, sitting around for a while and talking. Sounds boring, huh? They chose me! They thought of me! We had the best conversations.

They aren’t the only one who thinks of me. God thinks of me all the time! He can’t help it. It’s in his Holy DNA to think of you and me.

We were on God's mind before we were born.

“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!” Psalm 139:16-17

God created us for him! Wow!

"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10

And God, who created everything, created you and I to spend eternity with him.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." John 3:16-17

We are on the mind of God.  We are that special.
