Sunday Reflection: Who Wins?
For me it’s getting harder to live in our
world without shaking my head over behaviors that span from ridiculous to evilly
sinister. My faith tells me that although it might not appear (visually) that
God is in control and working behind the scene, he is, and with his Kingdom in
mind.
God always knew that the world would end
up here, this place in history and with the results we see and experience. Because of
this knowledge, when humankind turned away from Him, God began preparing an
everlasting world where those who have chosen Him over Satan will live eternally.
We must think bigger than the offerings
of this life.
“Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God [which He has laid]
stands [sure and unshaken despite attacks], bearing this seal: “The Lord knows
those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord stand
apart from wickedness and
withdraw from wrongdoing.” 2 Timothy 2:19 (Amplified Version)
Even in the swirl of people madness and
shenanigans, I’ve never question who wins the final battle. In case you don’t
know, God wins! When God wins, we win.
“O our God,
will You not judge them? For we are powerless against this great multitude
which is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on
You.”
So all Judah stood before the Lord, with their infants, their
wives, and their children.
Then in the midst of the assembly the Spirit of the Lord came
upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the
son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph.
He said, “Listen carefully, all [you people of] Judah, and
you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and King Jehoshaphat. The Lord says this to you:
‘Be not afraid or dismayed at this great multitude, for the battle is not
yours, but God’s.
Go down against them tomorrow. Behold, they will come up by
the ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the river valley, in
front of the Wilderness of Jeruel.” 2 Chronicles 20:12-16 (AmplifiedVersion)

What is happening in the world now is what the Bible predicted. You're right, God knew it would come to this.
