THE GRAVEYARD BOOK
As a reminder, I’m participating in
the A-Z April Blogging Challenge this month with a theme of first and last
lines of favorite books.
G is for:
THE GRAVEYARD BOOK by Neil Gaiman
Honestly, I have two other
favorite books before TGB, but I really like this book and Neil Gaiman as a writer.
First Line: “There was a hand in the darkness and it held a knife.”
End Line: “But between now and then, there was Life; and Bod walked into it with his
eyes and his heart wide open.”
I love Neil’s first line in this book, and the first chapter will not disappoint you.
What are my two favorite books (probably of all time)? Thank you for asking. Yes, you did. I heard you! GONE WITH THE WIND, by Margaret Mitchell, will always own my heart--first. GRAPES OF WRATH, by John Steinbeck, is the understudy.
Comments
I love "GWTW" and "Grapes of Wrath," too. :)
So glad others are better read than me! Cheers Hilary
